Foday Sulimani, Research Assistant

Foday Sulimani is a research assistant at the foundation.

He received his MA in international relations/comparative politics from Wright State University. His master’s thesis, “The False Promise of International Financial Institutions in Building Stable Democracies in Third World Countries,” researched how foreign aid can be effectively used to build strong democracies. Foday earned his BA in political science and English language from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, where he was also vice president of the Fourah Bay College Students’ Union from 1991-1992.

With over eight years executive experience with nongovernmental organizations involved in community development, Foday is interested in studying the impact of health care, education, and income distribution on democratization in developing countries.
