The Harwood Institute for Public Innovation is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that works to improve public life and politics. Founded in 1988 by Richard Harwood, the institute strives to increase civic engagement and reveal how communities work and change.

International Civil Society Consortium

The International Civil Society Consortium for Public Deliberation is an international, nonprofit network of civic organizations from around the world whose main aim is to enhance cooperation in promoting responsible democratic institutions and public deliberation.

International Institute for Sustained Dialogue

The International Institute for Sustained Dialogue is an independent organization formed in collaboration with the Kettering Foundation to promote the process of sustained dialogue for transforming racial and ethnic conflicts around the world. Sustained dialogue is a systematic, interactive, open-ended political process to transform conflictual relationships over time.

National Issues Forums Institute

The National Issues Forums Institute is a nonpartisan organization chartered in 1989 to promote the National Issues Forums (NIF). NIF is a network of civic, educational, and other organizations and individuals whose common interest is to promote public deliberation in the United States.

Public Agenda

For more than 25 years, Public Agenda has worked to bridge the gap between American leaders and the American public on issues ranging from foreign policy to education. Regularly consulted by policy makers and journalists alike, its innovative public opinion research features substantive public discussions in communities around the country on some of the toughest issues of the day.

Sustained Dialogue Campus Network

The Sustained Dialogue Campus Network, an initiative of the International Institute for Sustained Dialogue, is a network of students from colleges and universities using dialogue to transform their campus' social tensions and make their communities more cohesive. SDCN's mission is to train, mentor, and connect student leaders who initiate and sustain dialogues to build cohesive, engaged, and diverse campus communities across the country.
