Lisa Boone-Berry Content Development Specialist, Democracy around the Globe

Lisa Boone-Berry is a content development specialist for democracy around the globe. Prior to joining the Kettering Foundation staff full-time in 2018, she provided copy editing and indexing services to the foundation as a freelancer.

Previously, Boone-Berry edited in-house for The Mazer Corporation, working on various K-12 subjects with publishers like McGraw-Hill, Holt, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Then in 2003, she began freelancing as an editor, indexer, and writer for nonprofits, businesses, and publishers—both educational and traditional. Clients and projects included online curriculum for LearningMate, culinary textbooks for Johnson & Wales University, artist magazines for F+W, copy editor training for Westchester K-12, and website content for the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance.

Born and raised in Ohio, Boone-Berry has a bachelor of arts in English from the University of Dayton. When not reading or writing, she relaxes in the kitchen where she enjoys cooking and baking her way through shelves and shelves of cookbooks.
