Qian Xuemei is a Chinese fellow at the Kettering Foundation.
She is an associate professor at Peking University in Beijing, China, where she has been teaching in the School of International Studies for about 20 years. Her current courses are development studies, political theories, and global religions and international politics.
Qian’s research interests include political development and Afghanistan-Pakistan studies, on which she has published dozens of academic articles. The newest publication is a monograph, The Great Power Politics in Afghanistan, which was published in June 2017 by China Social Science Press, Beijing.
Qian earned her BA, MA, and PhD in political science from Peking University.
