Seth Odongo, International Resident Researcher

Seth Odongo is an international resident researcher at the Kettering Foundation from Kenya. His current research focus is the phenomenon of “fake news” and its implications for democratic decision-making in elections and voter behavior. He is also studying the evolving political journalism practices and digital trends in emerging democracies in sub-Saharan Africa. 
 
Odongo works as a parliamentary research assistant attached to the office of the minority whip, Hon. Junet S.N. Mohamed, MP. Previously, he was deputy director of communications, in charge of digital media, for the Orange Democratic Movement Party. He holds a BSc in communications and public relations from Moi University, Kenya, and is pursuing a master’s degree in governance and ethics.
