James Martin :  Treasurer & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

James (Jim) Martin is the Treasurer & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the Kettering Foundation. Martin brings a wealth of experience working as a CFO in the nonprofit sector and a deep understanding of the Kettering Foundation, its staff, and its new strategic plan. In this leadership role, Martin will work closely with the finance team, staff, senior leadership, and the board of directors in carrying out our mission to advance inclusive democracy.

Martin has government, nonprofit, and for-profit Chief Financial Officer experience. He has previously served as the CFO for the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority, Ohio Education Association, and Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund.

Martin earned an MBA at the Ohio State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and a Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO).
